Current Conditions

Temperature: 17°F
Feels Like: 1°F
Winds: South @ 14 mph
Humidity: 42%
Dew Point: -2°F

A more mild day today as the current temperature is 17°F and there are winds coming from the south. We're currently experiencing some cloud cover but there is abundant sunshine throughout the area. Tonight will be a little colder as temperatures drop with the sunset. Tomorrow should be even warmer as south winds will bring a little warmth along with a low pressure system that's coming through.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 11°F
Feels Like: 0°F
Winds: WSW @ 12 mph
Humidity: 55%
Dew Point: -2°F

Temperatures stayed relatively similar today as the past couple of days. A little warmth brought by the sun as it currently is 11°F with winds from the west and south. There is high pressure to the south which could shift winds that may be a bit chilly. Not much of an eventful day as skies should be clear throughout and temperatures will drop tonight. Tomorrow again should be similar but there could be a little warmer temperatures as winds shift to the south.

(This is a post from Thursday that I must have omitted. I saw that I only saved it as a draft while posting today's((Sunday, March 1, 2015)) post)

Current Conditions

Temperature: 9°F
Feels Like: 5°F
Winds: North @ 7 mph
Humidity: 46%
Dew Point: -3°F

Ample sunshine spread throughout the day but temperatures stayed chilly. North winds kept us a bit chilly. Not a very exciting day weather wise as there were no systems of fronts that moved through. I predict a very similar today as it doesn't look like anything would cause anyt major weather developments to occur.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 14°F
Feels Like: 6°F
Winds: North @ 8 mph
Humidity: 46%
Dew Point: -3°F

Today, the Chippewa Valley experienced a drop off in temperatures as a cold front moved through. The current temperature 14°F with winds from the north. Cloudy skies were seen for most of the day but the sun started to peek through that layer of clouds. Temperatures should hold steady for the rest of the day. Tomorrow I predict that we could have a little colder temperatures with the winds from the north today, but it should be pretty similar to today as no major disturbances or systems are predicted to move through.

Dew Point: 2°F

A nice warm-up today throughout the Chippewa Valley as winds were from the south yesterday and a warm front moved through today. There was some snow this morning that lasted for less than an hour. Temperatures are holding steady in the upper 20s but it feels like the single digits. A cold front moving through will start to cool things down tonight and tomorrow. Dry air is signaling this change in temperature as well. Expect colder temperatures tomorrow.

Temperature: 7°F
Feels Like: -14°F
Winds: SW @ 17 mph
Humidity: 45%
Dew Point: -10°F

A extremely chilly day today in the Chippewa Valley with single digit temperatures and strong winds that made it feel in the double digit negatives. High pressure to the south is driving winds but they are bringing that cold along with them. These south wind should bring some warmth for tomorrow as the high moves through. Some moisture moving through could bring some snow tonight and with winds from the west the chance of snow should increase. Prediction from tomorrow: warmer with some snow flurries.

Temperature: 0°F
Feels Like: -14°F
Winds: WNW @ 14 mph
Humidity: 49%
Dew Point: -15°F

As expected a drop in temperatures for today as it is currently 0°F with wind chills making it feel like -14°F. Right now we're experiencing sunny skies throughout the Chippewa Valley. Winds coming from the north should keep temps chilly throughout the day and into tomorrow. Expect a similarly chilly day tomorrow as current weather conditions aren't showing anything too spectacular.

Temperature: 20°F
Feels Like: 14°F
Winds: North @ 8 mph
Humidity: 54%
Dew Point: 6°F

A little more mild today as temperatures sit at 20°F with cloudy skies. South winds yesterday brought this warm-up of weather. But, today's winds are from the north which could make things a little chilly for tomorrow. A cold front is currently passing through which should bring a drop in temperatures throughout the day. With more dry air to come through there should be no worry about the snow. Expect a very cold day tomorrow as the cold front passes through and the north winds continuing.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 14°F
Feels Like: -1°F
Winds: South @ 13 mph
Humidity: 67%
Dew Point: 5°F

There was some snowfall earlier in the morning which was a part of my prediction. Temperatures are higher than yesterday as it is currently 14°F with winds from the south. These south winds should keep us warm for today. There is low pressure to the north which is keeping out the cold north winds and along with a warm front moving through will also keep some warmth in the area. With that warm front though there could be some snow as there is some water vapor moving through. For tomorrow, because of the recent conditions, it should be warm for February but expect some snow throughout the day.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 3°F
Feels Like: 2°F
Winds: West @ 5 mph
Humidity: 47%

Fairly similar conditions today but we did see a warm-up somewhat. Currently it is 3°F and sunny with winds from the west. High pressure sat to the north of us for most of the day throwing in the cold temperatures, along with a cold front that is moving out now. Tomorrow there is a chance of snow as some moisture looks to move in, but we should see a substantial warm-up as some air from the south will move in.

Image 1: Water vapor/moisture from the northwest looks to be moving in and that could bring some snow with it.

Winds: West @ 15 mph

A bit chilly today as temperatures sunk into the negatives with wind chills sitting around -25°F. Right now the temperature is -3°F with some chilly winds coming from the west. Arctic air from the north is bringing in the chilly weather that hurts one's face. There is high pressure sitting in North Dakota that is driving winds in as well. A cold front can also be to blame for the Siberian-esque chills. Tomorrow looks to be pretty similar to today as cold temps will continue.

Well, it's cold again just like yesterday. The current temperature is only 8°F but with cold winds from the north it feels like 10°F. A cold front moved through which with it brought the cold temperatures. That coupled with arctic winds makes it seem like there will be a dangerously cold tomorrow. There could be some snow overnight as there is some moisture in the air and west winds can signal some moisture. Tomorrow seems like we are living in Siberia with dangerous wind chills. Bundle up!

Current Conditions

Temperature: 15°F
Feels Like: 1°F
Winds: West @ 7 mph
Humidity: 70%
Precipitation: Light

We currently have some very light snow following throughout the area. Temperatures have doubled since yesterday so my prediction of warming up stood true. Snow should end tonight but temperatures look to be dropping for tomorrow. A rise in temperature can be attribute to a warm front that's currently moving though but there is a cold front right behind it so expect colder temperatures for tomorrow with a possibility of snow.

Image 1: Some low pressure is currently sitting over us bringing in cold winds. The warm front shown above will move out of the way and a cold front should replace it bring chilly temperatures for tomorrow.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 7°F

Winds: South @ 9 mph

Another cold day in the Valley as temperatures are in the single digits. It's currently 7°F and cloudy outside. Temperatures overnight stayed cold and with limited cloud cover allowed for a chilly day today. There is a high pressure sitting over Michigan which is driving southerly winds. With these south winds we can expect a little bit of a warm up for tomorrow, but don't expect there to be a drastic increase.

Temperatures continue to drop as a cold front moves south bringing along with it cold temperatures. This coupled with winds from the north are making this year's Valentine's Day a bitter and cold as a single 30 year old on this holiday. A high pressure system in southern Canada is driving the winds from the north into our area. Clear skies aren't really having a heating effect at all. My prediction held true for a chilly Saturday was correct. I predict a very similar day today with a little higher temperatures as the cold front moves out.

Image 1: We can see the cold front further to the south that brought the cold temperatures. Just at the top of the map one can also see the high pressure that's driving the north, cold winds into the area.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 23°F
Feels Like: 9°F
Winds: WSW @ 14 mph
Humidity: 68%

We saw a warm up today in real temperature but winds are causing a similar chill as yesterday. There was snow overnight proceeded by some westerly winds and low pressure and a low front. Winds are coming from the west and there are cloudy skies. Cloud cover overnight and the warmth behind a warm front that moved through brought the higher temperatures today. It looks like Valentine's Day will be much colder as a cold front is coming down from the north.

Temperature: 6°F
Feels Like: -4°F
Winds: WSW @  8 mph
Humidity: 52%

Well, I did not predict any snow for last night. Just to get that out of the way. We've experienced very cold temperatures today that continue to drop lower into the single digits. There was lots of sun, but that did not help as much because of the cold winds. There is a warm front to our west that is coming through and the current winds being from the west southwest should warm things up for tomorrow. In front of that front is some snow so I predict some light snow later tonight because of the west winds.

Image 1: High pressure to our south is pushing winds outwards. That along with the warm front that will come through should bring higher temperatures for tomorrow.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 19°F
Feels Like: 12°F
Winds: WNW @  17 mph
Humidity: 51%
Precipitation: None

Temperatures have started to decrease in the Chippewa Valley since yesterday due to a low front that came through which brought with it snow. Winds from the north which are also reaching speeds of over 20 MPH have brought a wind chill of below 0°F. Temperatures will drop tomorrow due to the winds from the north which are bringing some chilly air from Canada.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 24°F
Feels Like: 12°F
Winds: Southeast @  12 mph
Humidity: 77%
Precipitation: 100%

Snow moved into the Chippewa Valley as a low front and a low pressure system moves through. Temperatures are similar to yesterday. We will see snow continue through the night as a system moves through. With the low moving through there will continue to be similar temperatures tomorrow and it should be relatively dry. There looks to be colder temps coming up as a low front moves in from the north bringing cold temperatures and north winds.

Image 1: A warm front brought some warmth to the area but the low front that will come through will probably chill things down and bring some hat and glove weather.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 27°F
Feels Like: 29°F
Winds: North @  4 mph
Humidity: 53%
Precipitation: None

A warm and sunny day for February as temperatures have been a little higher than the cold of last week. We've currently got plenty of sun which makes it feel warm. Currently Eau Claire is 27°F with a north wind. Temperatures did rise above 30. There is some high pressure just to the north of the Chippewa Valley with the northerly winds being a bit warmer. Future forecast looks very similar to today but do not be surprised to see some chillier temperatures as the northerly winds bring down some cooler air.

Image 1: Current surface map. Looking to the west the low pressure system could bring some snow with, but if temperatures stay a little warmer we could be looking at some sleet.

Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th

Current Conditions

Temperature: 29°F
Feels Like: 20°F
Winds: Northeast @ 10  mph
Humidity: 66%
Precipitation: None

This weekend we saw warm temperatures as they rose into the 30s with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Winds are currently coming from the north which are making it feel a little cooler. A low pressure system moved through the area and has brought warmer temperatures with. Clouds over night have also allowed for warmer temperatures this weekend. This high of temperatures you start to see people outside with a sweatshirt because of the sauna like state. Expect to see a bit of a cool down as the low pressure moves through and the winds from the north. The next couple of days look to be in the 20s and 30s.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 28°F
Feels Like: 25°F
Winds: Southeast @ 6  mph
Humidity: 58%
Precipitation: None

A warm day today as temperatures attempt push around the freezing mark. Plenty of sun right now as the cloud cover begin to decrease throughout the day. Southern winds are to praise for this warmer temperatures, but we also have some low pressure to the south bring those southerly winds. Nightly cloud cover trapped in all the heat we saw due to the wind. Warmer temperatures should stick around for tomorrow as winds are continuing to come from the south and the low pressure sitting around as well.

Image 1: Temperatures from today have increased over 10 degrees from yesterday. Warm south winds are pushing temperatures up right now.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 16°F
Feels Like: -1°F
Winds: South @ 20 mph
Humidity: 43%
Precipitation: None

We're currently seeing lots of sunshine which is a nice change to the continuous cloud cover we've been experiencing. Even though we're seeing some nice sun we've got winds coming from the south gusting over 20 mph causing temperatures to remain in the chilly teens. A high pressure system to the south can be accounted for with those chilly winds. If the southerly winds continue we'll most likely begin to see a bit of warming phase. I expect to see some precipitation tomorrow as a system begins to move through. Possibly some freezing rain as temperatures rise.
Image 1: Currently seeing some chilly temperatures in the area. Temperatures are looking to be on the rise with south winds.
