There Was Some Rain Today

Current Conditions

Temperature: 45°F
Feels Like: 38°F
Winds: East @ 7 mph
Humidity: 79%
Dew Point: 39°F

Today started off with some limited cloud cover but some light rain has moved into the area. As of now the clouds appear to be staying for a while and there could be some continued precipitation tonight as a low pressure moves through and there is currently wind from the east which we all know has some negative connotation to it. To the west there are warmer temperatures which should bring the warmth towards the area. For tomorrow I predict that the warmer temperatures move in.

Drought...Figuratively

Current Conditions

Temperature: 40°F
Feels Like: 29°F
Winds:WNW @ 18 mph
Humidity: 85%
Dew Point: 36°F

The past week has seen some colder temperatures with a lot of wind gusts driving those temperatures down. But, a warm up is coming soon. Today has been slightly wet throughout the day as this morning there were some freezing rain which has turned into a light drizzle, close to mist. The movement of a warm front followed closely followed by a cold front has caused some dreadful conditions. With these fronts moving through there should be some warmth coming. The moisture looks to moving out with some dry air coming through. For tomorrow expect a warm up but there could also be some precipitation.

Snow?

Current Conditions

Temperature: 35°F
Feels Like: 35°F
Winds: East @ 8 mph
Humidity: 43%
Dew Point: 15°F

This weekend has seen a dip in temperatures and even some snow. Thankfully the snow did not stick and should not cause any problems. Temperatures have been in the low to mid 30s all weekend. Winds from the east may cause some problems with continued cloud cover for the rest of the day and these clouds are not of the nice kind. A front is moving through the most of the country dropping temperatures through. For tomorrow it should be better than today as the clouds move out and humidity drops.

A Light Sprinkle

Current Conditions

Temperature: 45°F
Feels Like: 42°F
Winds: West @ 5 mph
Humidity: 73%
Dew Point: 37°F

The day started with some sun but clouds quickly moved in. There is a low that has brought some rain as I have noticed some light rain this afternoon. The small amounts of rain that have accumulated should be done as the moisture moves out and a cold front moves in. There are many lows and highs spread throughout the country as the Northeast got some more snow on this first day of summer. Tomorrow expect a drop in temperature as the cold front passes through tonight.

South winds!

Current Conditions

Temperature: 48°F
Feels Like: 42°F
Winds: South @ 13 mph
Humidity: 27%
Dew Point: 16°F

Today started of sunny but the clouds have moved in with winds from the southeast. This could bring a little bit of rain tonight. A low is to our west which could also increase the chance of rain. The rest of the country is seeing a lot of cloud cover in the east and south but the west looks clear. A lot of precipitation to the south. There is a stationary front in the southern United States which should be watched for now. For tomorrow I think we'll have a rather nice day with some warm-up.

A Little Chilly

Current Conditions

Temperature: 45°F
Feels Like: 45°F
Winds: SW @ 5 mph
Humidity: 26%
Dew Point: 12°F

My prediction held true as clouds moved in today and temperatures stayed similar to yesterday. High pressure is currently looming close to the area pushing winds up from the south. The cloud cover should stay a little longer and may continue into tomorrow. There is some moisture around but the dryness of the air should keep it in check. Gloomy skies over much of the country with numerous pressure systems throughout. For tomorrow expect another mundane cloudy day.

Boring Day

Current Conditions

Temperature: 44°F
Feels Like: 37°F
Winds: NW @ 15 mph
Humidity: 21%
Dew Point: 7°F

A little bit of a cool down from the past few days as a cold front moved through that continues to bring colder temperatures. Conditions are currently stable as there is plenty of sunshine. A high pressure system is driving north winds into the area which shouldn't bring much cold as it is on the edge of the air mass. To the west there is a lot of cloud cover and some precipitation that could bring some wetness. To the south the cold front continues to move and create a temperature divide. The East Coast has some snow. The jet stream has crept back down which shows why there is a pattern of coldness now. For tomorrow there should be a similar day with some more clouds.

Rain?

Current Conditions

Temperature: 59°F
Feels Like: 58°F
Winds: North @ 13 mph
Humidity: 34%
Dew Point: 31°F

A rather mundane and gloomy day today as a lot of cloud cover loomed over the area. Some pleasant temperatures as we rose into the low 60s. Today stayed dry but we could be looking at some rain overnight as there is a lot of moisture in the air. A front has moved through today that has brought in some moisture and will bring some colder temperatures to the area. For tomorrow I would say it'll feel colder with temperatures dropping and continued cloud coverage.

The Weekend, March 14-15, 2015

A very nice, warm weekend for Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday the 14th temperatures topped out at 60°F while today looks to be a little warmer. For today the high should be around 65°F. Yesterday had plenty of sunshine while there is a lot of cloud cover for today. A pretty normal, dry weekend. As of now the winds are coming from the southwest with gusts of up to 16 mph. There are a plethora of fronts and systems in the west that could make their way through and bring warmer temperatures. Also look for the possibility of precipitation tomorrow. My prediction for tomorrow is continued warmth as the fronts move through but look for possibly some rain along with those systems.

It Is Hot Today

Current Conditions

Temperature: 65°F
Feels Like: 64°F
Winds: West @ 16 mph
Humidity: 38%
Dew Point: 39°F

A bit of scorcher out there today as temperatures rose into the mid 60s. Today has been the warmest day of the year thus far and it looks to hold that title for at least the week. Today started off a little cloudy but right away temperatures rose eventually to a high of 65°F with lots of sun . Winds are coming from the west to give a nice little breeze. There is a cold front coming our way which will drop temperatures but it shouldn't be freezing. The east coast looks to be getting some precipitation as moisture from the ocean is being funneled in. The south currently is seeing rain as warm, moist air is moving through. We should stay pretty dry for tonight and tomorrow as that cold front brings drier air. Prediction for tomorrow? A little colder but still nice, no chance of precipitation either.

Obscured by Clouds

Current Conditions

Temperature: 58°F
Feels Like: 54°F
Winds: South @ 15 mph
Humidity: 23%
Dew Point: 21°F

Today looked a little more gloomy as clouds moved in. Temperatures still remained warm, currently 58°F. Winds from the south should bring warmth to the area tomorrow. The air was a little drier today which made things look rather dry all around. Most of the melting has stopped for now. The Omega High looks like it could be moving out after this weekend. The East Coast is still being effected by the jet stream with colder temperatures and winds from the north. Prediction for tomorrow: Warmer than today because of the south winds from today. It looks to be a rather pleasant day.

Exciting Titles From Now

Current Conditions

Temperature: 55°F
Feels Like: 55°F
Winds: North @ 4 mph
Humidity: 36%
Dew Point: 29°F

Warm and sunny again, 55°F, but I'm not complaining! A little cold front did drop temperatures a bit but nothing too serious. High pressure is shifting the winds to the north, but it really shouldn't make it feel like winter. The Omega High is still superseding any other weather conditions right now. Dry air still sits around as the moisture levels are pretty low for now. Most of the US except for the Southeast looks to be dry for now. There is a cold front around the Northeast which will drop their temperatures again. Prediction: warm again tomorrow with plenty of sun.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 62°F
Feels Like: 60°F
Winds: WSW @ 13 mph
Humidity: 34%
Dew Point: 34°F

The warm days continue over the state as the jet stream continues to keep the cold air out. Current temperature is 62°F with westerly winds @ 13 mph. We'll continue to see sunny skies as clouds and moisture are staying out of the area. For tomorrow there could be a drop in temperature as high pressure comes through but expect very nice conditions for the foreseeable future.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 54°F
Feels Like: 48°F
Winds: Southwest @ 18 mph

Dew Point: 31°F

Halfway to 100 and that's feel pretty good. Today is the warmest day since I've started this blog and I do enjoy it very much. 54°F never felt so good. Plenty of sun and warming winds to the south are making it a rather enjoyable day. the jet stream has moved to the north which keeps us in the Chippewa Valley warm. I think that I was sweating walking to class today which though odd was a pretty good feeling. For tomorrow expect similar temperatures as conditions continue to be excellent.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 40°F
Feels Like: 37°F
Winds: Southwest @ 6 mph
Humidity: 52%
Dew Point: 24°F

Warm conditions continued today as high pressure to the south drives warm air into the Chippewa Valley. Current temperature is 40 and winds from the south are light. The jet stream and cold air that is associated have moved out of the area for now. Prediction for tomorrow: warmer temps as the south winds keep air warm.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 40°F
Feels Like: 30°F
Winds: West @ 13 mph
Humidity: 44%
Dew Point: 20°F

Today has been quite a beautiful day compared to what we've been experiencing. Today's temperatures have risen into the low 40s which we haven't seen since in a while. Plenty of sun and limited cloud cover has given us something to smile about. The snow has begun to melt and will continue to do so. For tomorrow look for similar conditions as high pressure moves through and a warm front looks to be moving towards the Chippewa Valley.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 30°F
Feels Like: 23°F
Winds: WSW @ 12 mph
Humidity: 51%
Dew Point: 14°F

Plenty of sunshine today with winds from the south and a warm front coming through. All this means that the cold air is gone for now. Temperature's currently at 30°F with winds at 12 MPH from the southwest. A warm front is moving through bringing some really nice conditions. Cloud cover is pretty minimal for now. For tomorrow I predict a very nice day with temperatures continuing to rise. Maybe we should break out the shorts and put away the coats.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 10°F
Feels Like: 0°F
Winds: West @ 9 mph
Humidity: 43%
Dew Point: -8°F

Another chilly day in the Chippewa Valley just as I predicted. The current temperature is 10°F with winds from the west. A high pressure system is sitting to the south which is driving the winds from the southwest. With that moving through things should start to warm up. A warm front is coming through and with it should bring very warm temperatures for the next few days. Some warm winds from the south will also drive up temps. For tomorrow expect a very nice day with some warmth coming.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 11°F
Feels Like: -10°F
Winds: West @ 18 mph
Humidity: 40%
Dew Point: -9°F

Colder temperatures moved through the area as a cold front moved through bringing the anticipated cold air and winds from the chilly north brought us to our current state of only 11°F. Winds from the northwest continue to make today very chilly, but there is plenty of sunshine. Don't expect a warm up for tomorrow and be ready for similar conditions as the cold air will continue to linger throughout the area.

Current Conditions

Temperature: 29°F
Feels Like: 14°F
Winds: West @ 16 mph
Humidity: 66%
Dew Point: 19°F

Snowfall this morning brought some slicks conditions and was able to stick on the ground. Temperatures were fairly warm throughout the day but should start to drop as winds from the north move through and a cold front is coming our way. This cold front and winds could bring some subzero temperatures tomorrow with blistering cold wind chills. We should stay dry as all the moisture looks to be moving through the south. Tomorrow be ready for some chills.

Monday, March 2, 2015

Current Conditions

Temperature: 26°F
Feels Like: 22°F
Winds: South @ 8 mph
Humidity: 40%
Dew Point: 5°F

It was quite a pretty sight today in the Chippewa Valley as the sun was shining giving us some nice warmth. The current temperature is 26°F with winds from the south. A high pressure system in Illinois is driving the winds from the south. For tomorrow these winds could drive the moisture from the south bringing in some precipitation. Despite the snow there could be even more of a warm up.

Image 1: A lot of moisture to the south should be bringing some snow into the area.

Sunday, March 1, 2015

Current Conditions

Temperature: 25°F
Feels Like: 11°F
Winds: West @ 16 mph
Humidity: 44%
Dew Point: 6°F

Plenty of sunshine for today has brought a little warmth to the area. Clear skies are allowing for those nice rays to really make an effect on the temperature. Currently it is 25°F with winds from the west. Temperatures should stay steady for the rest of the day and there should be a pretty calm night. Tomorrow I predict that there will be similar temperatures with not much else as nothing seems to be moving through.
